Home from LA

LA was AMAZING! Not quite a rockstar...but the potential is soaring...like a kite...or a flying squirrel...ANYWAY! I scoped out some spots that I could potentially jam after the big move, and most importantly some sweet places to shop to really obtain the bomb ass rockstar look-ya dig? OOOOH! And I found a guitarist...yea we are on the up and up...one problem my guitarist, drummer, and I all live in different places...whatev, we'll make it work.

Another sweet thing--IOWest in LA--they have an improv musical group called Opening Night...tots gonna try to hit them up with some of my really sweet improved songs...and then I'll be famous, not really probably, but if you dont dream big you arent big...ya dig? For shig! God I hope that is not a bad word that I thought I was making up to keep the rhyme slammin...alright-I'm gonna go hang out with my mom. Judge it up-->all rockstars have moms who are equally cool, if not cooler.

Progress Re to the port

Soooo. I am not a rockstar yet...bumcity I know. But I did take a small step towards being British! I went to the bars last Saturday spoke only in a British accent (I'm in a dialects class so hopefully it was believable...), and I got free Martini's all night. Alright, it is still not a rockstar persay but certainly forward progress in itself. I did sing You Oughta Know today in class...why angry chick music of the 1990's speaks so deeply to my heart I don't know, but I'll take it. Next time there is an Alanis cover band...Sign. Me. Up.....! Seriously, please do, send me a tweet or a blog thing! hahaha oh tech savvy me. Anywho. The road so far has not been too trying but that is because my focus has not been settled enough on the horizon and far too much on the present homework...only one more semester, then glorious adventures...
I am three days away from LA, and I can feel something awesome is going to happen. My homie-os and I signed up to be on the price is right...that's where you go to make big breaks right? Why not!!! My next step for time being is honing in on a rockstar diet of crack and cereal, not really actually it's far less exciting...I had my last bowl of ice cream today probably until (well probs tomorrow) but in theory until a long while from now... Onward and upward bloggios! Until the next update.

Getting Started

Soooo I guess what makes the most sense is starting by getting a band together. Alright, I know some people. School, for the next month, will get in the way of that, but Ima try now anyway because waiting makes me antsy. I have three recordings--hardcore I know (this is the whole not taking myself seriously thing by the way). They are from Hot Trash and they are pretty awesome, they are spoofy but awesome none the less. I tits lucked out and got to work with two supa talented dudes so that was neato. I'll probably put those up if I ever learn to use the internet. hm. Second, I'm going to LA this spring, will anything awesome happen out there, only if I am the luckiest person in the world, but if I am, I am soooo down, so I will keep yal posted on my luck as it were, in the big times. hahaha so what I am saying is this project is probably gonna creep in baby steps, dats coo with me. Cool. this blog is getting to long and getting no where. More soon on getting a band together. Covers are good, but soon hopefully writing...oh I am in one band with my roommate. We call ourselves the MB (metaphorical buttholes)...yea I am serious about the rockstar thing but along the way awesome projects that entertain me even if it means sacrificing my pride with bomb ass names! Peace for now bloggers

Time to Grow Up

Yea...okay. So that is goal one, right? Part of that I assume includes dropping the rock star thing? Hmmm...maybe not quite yet. Here is part one of this darling blog, whether or not I continue to tend to it will depend heavily on my attention span. Point you ask? I am blogging about how it is possible to become a rock star. Possible? Yes! How? No clue, but that is the point of this glorious interweb no? If you have any ideas please share, until then I will keep you posted with my much anticipated progress. Why did this start? Simple really...I was listening to Kate Nash, realized I could never be British--no matter how long I study the dialect, but I can be a rock star. How did she get started? On the interweb...how will I?- probably interweb, but no one knows yet. See where the fun comes in? Thank you for bearing with me through this long blog, I am sort of addicted already to the idea of blabbing. I'll try to keep that to a minimum, but no promises. PS if you are reading this I already think you are super awesome and thank you for humoring me. " :)
